Stripes® Convenience Stores Support Texas 4-H

The Texas 4-H Foundation is pleased to announce the continuation of our 4-H alliance with Stripes® Convenience Stores. “Helping Today’s Kids Become Tomorrow’s Leaders will begin September 5 through October 2, 2011. Mobile Campaigns are important to Stripes, because of their ability to create a direct company partnership with customers to raise funds for deserving causes. Stripes® focuses its charitable efforts exclusively on programs designed to enhance the health and education of youth residing in the communities served by the Company. What better fit than the Texas 4-H Youth and Development Program for their efforts.

Stop in at a Stripes® store in the Wichita Falls, San Angelo, Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, Victoria, Houston, Uvalde, Eagle Pass and Del Rio market areas, be sure and participate in the Mobile Clover Campaign. Proceeds from the mobiles sold will be donated to the local county 4-H program. So when you are purchasing a clover, you are supporting 4-H in your county. The more clovers sold, the more funds earned by your county.

Not all Stripes® locations will be participating, many of their locations in the Coastal Bend, Rio Grande Valley and Laredo market areas are a part of the STARS (South Texas Academic Rising Scholars) mobile campaign efforts of Stripes® and are not
participating the Texas 4-H campaign. Stripes® has a long list of organizations they have supported over the years, including Children’s Miracle Network and March of Dimes on a company-wide level and have helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for these organization.

The Texas 4-H Foundation is appreciative of this opportunity and look forward to building on this relationship. Spread the word, when you need gas, drink or snacks during the month of September, and have the chose between a Stripes® store or another, consider stopping at a Stripes® Convenience Store and help support 4-H in your area.
