Jim E. Reeves, Executive Director
Jim has been deeply involved with youth and youth programs throughout his entire professional career. He has worked closely with all the major U.S. livestock breed associations, as well as the major Livestock Shows in the U.S.
Reeves is a 32-year management professional who has served as President of both the U.S. Beef Breeds Council and the Texas Purebred Cattle Alliance. He was Vice President of the National Pedigreed Livestock Council and became Chairman of both the American Breeds Coalition and the National Livestock Ethics Committee. He has served as a board member of the National Cattleman’s Beef Association and was a member of NCBA`s Science and Technology Committee.
A “Distinguished Alumnus” of Tarleton State University, Reeves received the International Ambassador Award at the 2002 World Brahman Congress in South Africa. He has been an educator, ranch manager, marketing director and CEO of three major beef breed associations. He has bred and exhibited National Champions and has served as a judge or a superintendent at many major U.S. Livestock Shows.
Jana Barrett, Development Relations Coordinator ~ 4-H Friends & Alumni Association
Jana C. Barrett has spent her entire life in the agricultural community. Both her grandfather and father are Agricultural Science teachers. She was heavily involved in the FFA organization, holding numerous leadership positions, participating in various contests and ultimately winning the State Prepared Public Speaking competition. She also received the highest honor bestowed upon a FFA member by receiving her American Farmer Degree.
Jana received her Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Texas A&M University in May 1997. After graduation she moved to Amarillo, TX, where she spent 6 years with the Texas Wheat Producers Board & Association as the Communications Director, then the Assistant Director. While in Amarillo, Jana was involved in the local 4-H club as an adult leader. She was also a member of the Panhandle Agri-Food Masters Program, which promoted agriculture to all ages within the community.
She returned to College Station, with her family, in March 2003 where she joined the staff of the Texas A&M Agriculture — Contracts & Grants as a Proposal Coordinator before joining the Foundation staff in January 2006. Jana and her husband Brad live in Normangee, TX with their sons Nathan & Travis.
Lorenza Nunez, Business Coordinator/Accountant
Lorenza Nunez has 21 years of accounting experience. She received her Associates from Arts degree from Blinn Junior College in 1989 and her B.S. in Business Administration from Trinity College in 2001. Her accounting experience includes working at Texas Municipal Power Agency for five years as an Accounting Assistant. She worked also in the Division of Finance Department at Texas A&M University as an Accounting Assistant for 2 years before transferring to Centrex as the Business Administrator for 8 years. Following her decision to leave Texas A&M University she worked for Derek Scott’s Auto Part in Hearne as the Controller. Prior to her joining the Texas 4-H Foundation staff as the Business Coordinator/Accountant she spent two years as the Accounts Receivable Manager for Sexing Technologies a nationally recognized cattle embryo and sexed semen company.
Lorenza and her husband Rick live in Navasota, TX with their two out of three sons, Dylan & Devin. Their oldest son, Daniel, is currently attending Stephen F. Austin University and is a member of the Lumberjacks Marching Band.

helly Daughters, Administrative Assistant/Scholarship Coordinator
Shelly grew up in the small West Texas town of Ballinger. She worked for five years with the Texas Integrated Pest Management as a Cotton Pest Specialist. She grew up surrounded by agriculture living on the outskirts of town. She attended Angelo State University in San Angelo and Frank Phillips College in Borger.
Shelly returned to Ballinger after living around Texas for six years. She and her husband moved there to raise a family. She was the Assistant County Treasurer for Runnels County for three and a half years before moving to College Station.
In January of 2006, she relocated with her family to College Station. She has been with Texas A&M University System ever since moving. Shelly joined the Texas 4-H Foundation in the fall of 2006.
Shelly and her husband, Floyd, live in College Station with their sons, Hogan and Jagan and their daughter, Morgan.
